WestXDC is a creative innovation fusion lab for Northern Virginia.

We bring together the data science, community intelligence and regional economic insight needed to map, connect and grow the organizations building the next economy of this region — at the intersection of technology, creativity and human capability.

WestXDC operates as both a research platform and a convening force. On the platform side, we develop and maintain the CIEcon — the Creative Innovation Economy directory and intelligence network for Northern Virginia — combining graph data, AI-assisted analysis and original regional research to surface the connections, patterns and opportunities that no single organization in this region can see on its own. On the community side, we create the forums, events and engagement experiences that translate that intelligence into real relationships, real conversations and real economic activity across every jurisdiction in the region.

We are not a traditional accelerator, a chamber of commerce or a research institute. We are something the region does not yet have: a fusion lab that sits at the boundary between data and community, between technology and creativity, between economic analysis and human connection — and uses that position to help Northern Virginia understand itself, invest in itself and grow in the direction of its greatest opportunity.

Our work supports businesses and organizations of every size and sector — from anchor institutions and defense technology firms to creative agencies, civic organizations and main street businesses — by making the creative innovation economy of Northern Virginia more visible, more connected and more resilient in the face of the disruptions reshaping this region right now.
