FCC Announces New DIRS Platform

On December 4, 2023, the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau released a Public Notice announcing the launch of a new version of the Disaster Information Reporting System (“DIRS”).  As of December 4, 2023, the legacy DIRS system has been decommissioned in favor of the new platform, accessible at https://dirs.fcc.gov.

Current DIRS users with a CORES account may access the new DIRS platform using their CORES username and password.  Information on how to create a new DIRS account, if necessary, and use the new system can be found in the user’s guide at: http://www.fcc.gov/sites/default/files/DIRS-UserGuide-122023.docx.

The Commission encourages individuals who have used DIRS in the past or anticipate using it in the future to complete a new DIRS registration, if necessary, as soon as possible.  The FCC will host a DIRS exercise from January 16 to 18, 2024 to provide users with a chance to explore the new platform.
