FCC Publishes Handset Unlocking NPRM in Fed. Reg.

On August 8, 2024, the FCC published in the Federal Register the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (“NPRM”) seeking comment on using handset unlocking polices to improve consumer choice and flexibility and to enhance competition in the mobile wireless marketplace, thereby setting the comment and reply comment dates.

Comments are due on or before September 9, 2024.

Reply comments are due on or before September 23, 2024.

Comments pursuant to the Paperwork Reduction Act are due on or before October 7, 2024.
