February 2025: Smarter accounting with Bookkeep

Keeping your books accurate shouldn’t feel like a full-time job. That’s why we’re always fine-tuning Bookkeep to automate more, track better, and make financial reconciliation seamless.

This month, we’re rolling out updates that improve marketplace visibility, provide richer transaction data, and simplify bulk imports. Here’s what’s new this month (and ICYMI, here’s the January edition).

🌍 Amazon sales, sorted: Marketplace-level tracking

Selling across multiple Amazon marketplaces? Now, Bookkeep ensures every transaction (including fees) is correctly mapped to its respective marketplace. Previously, some fees weren’t linked, making it harder to see true profitability by marketplace. With this update, you’ll have better insights into where your revenue is coming from.

🛒 eBay sales, fully unpacked

We’ve upgraded our eBay integration to provide more detailed source data attachments. Each sales entry now includes an order breakdown for taxes, line items, transactions, and more. This means greater transparency and accuracy when reviewing eBay sales and tax obligations so you can reconcile with confidence.

📈 One-click historical data imports

Need past transactions? Our improved import tool lets you bring in full financial data at the connection level. Just set a date range, and we’ll handle the rest. Whether you’re syncing Stripe or another platform, pulling in historical data is now faster and easier.

🔎 Mystery of Shopify pending payments

We’ve improved how Bookkeep handles Shopify orders marked as “paid” but with no associated transactions or payments, otherwise known as pending payments. This enhancement helps businesses quickly identify potential operational issues, such as missing payments or promotional giveaways. With better tracking, you can make sure every sale is properly accounted for.

What’s next?

February’s updates bring greater clarity, accuracy, and automation to your accounting workflows — whether you’re managing multi-marketplace sales, reconciling eBay transactions, or checking that Shopify orders are properly tracked.

Looking ahead, we’re doubling down on automation, smarter integrations, and better reporting options to keep your accounting stress-free. Stay tuned for next month’s updates!
