GRAYKEY Supports Full Access for Google Pixel Series 6 and 8

Continuing to add to the Android support for Magnet GRAYKEY, we are thrilled to announce the addition of Google Pixel series 6 and 8 to our list of supported mobile devices, which includes the Pixel 6a and Pro models in this series. With this key addition to our Android coverage, we are helping to ensure you have the tools necessary to access and examine the mobile devices you encounter during your criminal investigations.

The Prominence of Pixel Devices

The Google Pixel 6 series, introduced in 2021, was Google’s fastest-selling Pixel devices selling 3.75 million (as of Oct. 2022) and an additional 5 million units of the Pixel 6a aluminum variant. Sales numbers have yet to be released for the recently introduced Pixel 8, which just landed in October 2023, but it has been reported that with the launch of Pixel 8, sales have taken a big leap forward, exceeding 40 million Pixel phones since the brand was introduced in 2016.

The development also adds support for devices running GrapheneOS up to the latest release. Based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), GrapheneOS is a private mobile operating system focused on privacy and security to protect users against unknown (0-day) vulnerabilities.

Expanding Your Ability to Access Mobile Devices

GRAYKEY’s constantly expanding coverage for mobile devices and operating systems is critical to providing Law Enforcement with the tools necessary to serve and protect our communities. This support adds to GRAYKEY’s impressive support for Android devices, which includes the lead device manufacturers Samsung, LG, Motorola, and Xiaomi, as well as a range of smaller boutique devices. Take a look at a complete list of support for Android and iOS devices and OS.
