Small Businesses – Optimistic on Growth, Pessimistic on Economy & Workforce

As a somewhat odd mix of small business reaction, via this Goldman Sachs recent survey, interest rates and inflation are very difficult and persistent challenges, along with finding capable and productive workforce… but small businesses are determined to succeed, maintaining optimism in their ability to grow and prosper. That’s a good attitude and economic confidence for business owners, but the need for very extreme creativity in dealing with lack of capital resources, holding on to great employees, and controlling costs everywhere is paramount.

What do Northern Virginia business do? Maintain this confidence, but focus clearly on optimization and simplification of all business processes, lower costs, and by all means maintain PR and marketing presence through the churn to come out stronger on the other side, both for growth and hiring.
