FCC Announces MDRI Effective Date and New Order on Recon. Effective Date

On March 26, 2024, the FCC published in the Federal Register notice that:

  1. The Office of Management and Budget had approved the Mandatory Disaster Response Initiative (“MDRI”) Report and Order, and compliance with the MDRI is required as of May 1, 2024.
  2. It was withdrawing and republishing the Federal Register publication of the Order on Reconsideration addressing a Petition filed by CCA and CTIA requesting that the FCC clarify and/or reconsider portions of the FCC’s MDRI Report and Order.  The Order on Reconsideration is effective April 25, 2024.
