Announcing our new qualification: Magnet Qualified Graykey Investigator (MQGI)

When your word can make or break a case, your credibility is vital. Without a way to demonstrate your competence, it can be harder to defend your findings and present them with full confidence.

Magnet Graykey users have traditionally been able to showcase their knowledge by becoming a Magnet Certified Graykey Examiner (MCGE). But for those using Graykey along with other solutions for analysis (and are not interested in taking the prerequisite courses), we’re pleased to offer a new qualification: Magnet Qualified Graykey Investigator (MQGI).

With this lower-tiered qualification, you can take the 40-question test based on your existing knowledge of the tool and show your competence and proficiency in using Magnet Graykey to acquire and process mobile device evidence.

If you’re a Graykey user, there has never been a better time to back up your knowledge to peers and stakeholders. You can start the process today by applying to get certified here.his course is an intermediate-level four-day training course, designed for participants who are familiar with the principles of digital forensics and who are seeking to expand their knowledge base into deep iOS examinations and the use of the Magnet Graykey device.

Interested in MCGE status instead?

If you’re using Graykey and Magnet Axiom and have completed our Magnet Graykey Examinations (GK200) or AX301 courses, you’ll be eligible to test for this robust certification which shows your expert-level competence with Graykey.

GK200 is an intermediate-level four-day training course, designed for participants who are familiar with the principles of digital forensics and who are seeking to expand their knowledge base into deep iOS examinations and the use of the Magnet Graykey device. Once completed, you’ll be able to take the certification for free.

Already GKO certified?

If you’ve already achieved your Graykey Operator (GKO) certification, it will still be valid for the period your certification is valid. Once it expires, you will need to either obtain the MQGI or MCGE if you want to continue demonstrating your competence with Graykey.
